GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Given the complexity of this project, Griffin stood out due to our experience in groundwater control and specific dewatering experience very near the project location. Griffin maintained continuous site monitoring to ensure system integrity and performance.

THE CHALLENGE

Based on the geology and our local experience, we anticipated high flows would be required to successfully dewater for construction of the basement. There was no power supply at the site, so all plans had to account for a temporary power source. The structure’s final design was also in flux up until mobilization.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin installed a deep well system capable of pumping 1,500 GPM. The deep well system was drilled to 50 ft. below ground and equipped with 5hp pumps. Additionally, a wellpoint system was installed temporarily to accommodate a design change. Finally, the entire system was powered by the electrical service from adjacent property to eliminate the need for a temporary generator.
