GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Griffin has worked at the site before and had the experience to properly design the system and bring the right equipment for installation, the first time. Griffin successfully installed the dewatering system and achieved the required drawdown while maintaining communication and excellent relations with the Client.

THE CHALLENGE

Difficult soil conditions consisting of urban fill terminating at a clay layer 19 ft. below ground surface and a 25 ft. setback from the Critical Zone as determined by the railroad.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin installed the system using our Track Punch Jetting Tool for wellpoints. This allowed us to install through the variable soils by allowing additional downward pressure during jetting, and providing a cased hole for well construction. Based on our experience in the area we installed extra wellpoints to dewater the mid-point of the bore under the railroad.
