THE CHALLENGE

The project pushed the limits of groundwater management with high dewatering flows near 1,000 gallons per minute and strict NPDES discharge requirements. The team had to design oversized treatment equipment, manage complex chemical processes, and fit a large system into tight space within an active creek channel. Meeting extremely low discharge limits in a sensitive waterway required constant monitoring and precise operation. Together, these challenges called for both large scale engineering and meticulous control to keep the project compliant and on track.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin designed and deployed a high capacity treatment system built to handle nearly 1,000 gallons per minute while meeting strict NPDES discharge limits. The multi barrier train combined solids removal, chemical treatment, filtration, and specialized media to address site specific contaminants. The system was refined through pre construction sampling and operated continuously to keep water quality compliant and construction moving safely.
