GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Track Punch allowed installation through the urban fill and eliminated the need for expensive pilot hole drilling with sonic drilling methods. We worked with the excavating contractor to move pumps, add/delete discharge piping, and assist with sumping as needed. Griffin provided drawings and calculations to assist with obtaining approval for the dewatering plan from the Chicago Board of Underground.

THE CHALLENGE

Dewatering required installation through upper urban fill terminating on top of clay soils in tight quarters.

THE SOLUTION

Griffin completed system installation with our Track Punch Jetting Tool. Due to the variable soil and the proximity of the clay to subgrade we were prepared to supplement the wellpoint systems with sump and pump systems as needed to allow work to continue.
