GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Griffin installed the deep well dewatering system on schedule and within budget. The system was modified during installation to accommodate additional vehicle access points. Griffin remotely monitored the dewatering systems throughout the project to verify that both systems were operating properly.

THE CHALLENGE

Lowering groundwater 25 ft. below ground surface for two excavations of 500 ft. x 400 ft. (Parcel C) & 400 ft. x 300 ft. (Detention Tank).

THE SOLUTION

A deep well dewatering system was installed surrounding each of the proposed excavations 1,800 ft. & 1,400 ft. perimeters, respectively. Griffin installed 30 deep wells at an approximate spacing of 60 ft. to a depth of 65 ft. surrounding the perimeter of Parcel C and 25 deep wells surrounding the detention tank. Piezometers were installed in both excavations that remotely reported daily water levels to all parties to verify that the target drawdown had been achieved.
