GRIFFIN DIFFERENCE

Griffin had previously completed several other projects similar in size and scope
near this site, With our local experience, we assisted the USACE in obtaining
the require permits quickly. In addition, Griffin delivered a successful dewatering
system that dried up the site as designed.

THE CHALLENGE

We were working on an active drainage channel that needed to remain in use during all phases of work. No local geological information was provided by the client for this project. Griffin’s previous experience with projects in the area was helpful in determining the appropriate solution.

THE SOLUTION

Since Griffin is very familiar with the Missouri River flood plain in this area, we
were able to make several assumptions based on our experience. First, Griffin
designed a deep well system capable of dewatering the types of soils typical for
this area. In the end, Griffin’s design was accurate and sufficiently dewatered
the soils to meet the requirements to construct the project.
